Learning Outcomes
The course aims at analyzing the agricultural sector as an economic and productive activity. Lectures also include analysis of the types, the size and organizational forms and problems of Greek farms Problems and proper utilization of the rural household. Analysis and calculation of the production costs and economic performance of the agricultural holdings. Farm production planning and decision making. Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to analyze:
- The basic concepts of the rural economy.
- The cost of agricultural products production.
- To calculate, to interpret and evaluate the economic outcome of the farms.
- The potential and conditions for rural development.
